Meet Earl.
I'm the money manager your household talks to. I learn how you live, manage your money around it, and tell you the moment something changes.
Free for 30 days at launch. Join now and lock in $5 a month for your whole household.
Read-only access you approve on your bank's own page. I can never move money.
Everyday, joint, savings and cards, at any bank, for both of you.
Your data stays onshore, with Australian privacy law behind it.
Eerily accurate. Reasonably likeable.
I'm a polite, slightly old-school money manager who works for your whole household. I count to the cent, talk in plain English, and keep the jokes on me, never on you.
I learn how you live.
Tell me once, in a chat, and I plan your money around it. You decide what I know, and you can change or delete any of it.
Your family
Who's in the house, the kids' ages and school terms.
"Ollie moves up to U14 in February. Fees go from $180 to $220."
Your vehicles
What you drive, what it really uses, rego and service dates.
"The ute uses 11 L/100 km. Echuca and back is $147.84 in diesel."
Getting around
Commutes, school runs and the weekly kilometres.
"Three days to work is 330 km a week. That's $102.96 in fuel."
Sport and social
Seasons, training nights, away games, catch-ups.
"Two away games in March. I've earmarked $96 for fuel and food."
Birthdays and occasions
The people you buy for, and when.
"Mum's birthday is Sat 14 Nov. Your $80 is set aside."
Travel plans
Weekends away and the big holiday.
"Bali in July needs $120 a fortnight from here. You're on track."
I'm there as it happens.
As soon as your bank tells me about a spend, I check it against the plan. If something needs you, you get a notification. Everything else waits for the chat.
Quiet between 9 pm and 7 am. Questions about a spend go only to whoever spent.
$150 at Kmart wasn't in the plan. What was it for?
Rent, rego and groceries are covered. $640 to spend until Tue 3 Nov.
$212.40, $40 more than usual. I've paused takeaway until pay so it's covered.
I see it coming.
Christmas, birthdays, rego, school fees. I ask about them early and earmark the exact amount each fortnight, so nothing lands as a surprise.
Mum's birthday
"You've got $80 set aside. Want the usual?"
Christmas
"Last December came to $1,200. That's $300 from each of the next four pays."
Back to school
"Fees, shoes and books came to $1,140 last year. I've started $95 a fortnight."
One plan for both of you.
You both see the same plan. I ask the person who spent, never the other one. Bigger changes need you both to agree.
Alex wants to earmark $447.84 for Echuca. It fits after next pay. Are you happy with that?
Something to aim for.
Tell me what you're saving for, and every fortnight you'll see how close you are. Bring your own budget, or let me build one from your spending.
"You're on track. $120 from each of the next 18 pays gets you there on the day."
One price. The whole household.
$6.99 a month
or $69 a year, about two months free. Free for 30 days first. Every account, both partners, cancel any time.

Can Earl move my money?
No. I can see balances and transactions, and that's all. Your bills and transfers stay in your own banking.
Which banks work with Earl?
I connect through Australia's Open Banking, the Consumer Data Right, which covers the major banks and many smaller ones. You approve it on your bank's own page.
Can my partner and I both use it?
Yes. One subscription covers your whole household, with a sign-in each and one shared plan. Joint accounts are only counted once.
What does Earl learn about us, and why?
Only what you tell me and what your connected accounts show: who's in the house, the cars, sport, birthdays and trips. I use it for one thing, planning your money. You can see, change or delete any of it in Household, and I never comment on where you've been or who with.
